Once Upon A Time Snow White, Prince Charming, Henry, Zelena en Belle verlaten de serie!

Neee! Het slechte nieuws over Once Upon A Time blijft zich maar opstapelen want ook Snow White, Prince Charming, Henry, Zelena en Belle stoppen ermee. Na seizoen 6 is ook hun contract gestopt en niet verlengd. 

We lieten jullie al eerder weten dat Jennifer Morrison oftwel Emma ermee stopt na seizoen 6 maar ook Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow), Josh Dallas (Charming), Emilie de Ravin (Belle), and Jared Gilmore (Henry) stoppen er nu ook mee. De executive producers Adam Horowitz en Edward Kitsis hebben hun contract dus niet verlengd. Emilie de Ravin gaf al aan op haar social media accounts dat ze graag was doorgegaan in Once Upon A time maar dat seizoen 7 in een andere creative richting gaat. Ook Zelena heeft aangegeven het ontzettend jammer te vinden dat ze weg moet. Ginnifer en Josh hebben er mee vrede mee omdat de originele cast wel een afsluitend einde krijgt in de seizoensfinale van seizoen 6. 

 

Dear #oncers. I wanted to tell you guys myself, but it seems the news was already released :/ ... I won't be returning to #onceuponatime for Season 7. While I would have loved to continue exploring Belle's journey, the show has decided to move in a different creative direction. Massive thank you to all the fans for your incredible love & support towards me & this character over the past 6 yrs. It's been an honor & a privilege to bring Belle to life :) Congrats to Adam & Eddy & the returning cast & crew!! I wish you all a wonderful 7th Season!! Much love 💙xo

Alleen Regina, Hook en Mr. Gold zullen nog verschijnen in seizoen 7. Daarnaast zijn er 2 nieuwe hoofdpersonages gecast namelijk The Walking Dead acteur Andrew J. West and Jane the Virgin actrice Alison Fernandez. We weten nog niet wie ze gaan spelen omdat dit geheim wordt gehouden maar er is een theorie dat Andrew een oudere Henry gaat spelen.

 

To my Darling Pretties, First of all I would like to start by congratulating Adam, Eddie, Lana, Bobby and Colin on the pick up of Once Upon A Time! I am truly happy for you all and most importantly for the fans that will get to keep tuning in each week to see where they will take us. A lot of you have been asking if I will be joining everyone in Season 7, so I wanted to let you know personally that unfortunately I am not. This wasn't my choice but a creative decision of the shows that I totally respect and understand. The most important thing is that you all know how much you mean to me. I am told frequently both online and in person that by being a part of such a special show I have in some way changed someone's life. This is hugely meaningful to me. I am here to let you know that I am the one who has been changed. Not just by playing such a well written multi-dimensional character but by the fandom itself. I have heard your stories, your pain, your struggles, your achievements and I have truly felt you. I have learned. I have grown. I am a better person because of you, the fans and everyone that blessed me with this opportunity to play such an iconic role. Congrats all and thank you! I look forward to the next. I invite you to come with me on this journey. I am forever changed. And I'm wicked. And Wicked Always Wins. Forever yours, Bex 💚

Lees hieronder wat executive producers Adam Horowitz en Edward Kitsis te zeggen hebben over alle exits in hun statement:

“Words can’t do justice to what Ginny, Josh, Emilie, Rebecca and Jared brought toOnce Upon a Time… but we’ll try… never have we had the privilege of working with a more talented group of collaborators.  Each brought unique talent, incredible intelligence, and their own individual bit of magic as they gave life to these iconic characters.

Ginny reinvented Snow White for a modern audience – there was no way she would be stuck cleaning up after dwarfs, she created an iconic empowered heroine for the 21st century.

Josh mined the depths of Prince Charming – a character who in myth was just a ‘type’ but in his superlative interpretation became a complex man fighting for love and family.  

Emilie took the character of Belle to a deep and soulful place, bringing great intelligence and warmth to the character, making her fiercely independent, strong willed but also an eternal optimist who saw only the best in all those she encountered.

Rebecca took us on a broomstick roller coaster ride as she re-invented the Wicked Witch of the West by finding the pain beneath the green. She made the character soar to incredible heights while always keeping her grounded and relatable.

And Jared literally grew up before the eyes of millions, from a child actor with enormous innate talent to a young man whose abilities continue to astound as he created a character who truly, as we say on the show, has the heart of the truest believer.

We can’t thank them enough for the hard work, dedication, and passion they delivered day in and day out. Without them there would be no Once Upon a Time.

As Once continues, this group will always be the beating heart of the show. And even though we won’t be with them every week, in a show about magic and hope, we fervently believe it won’t be the last we see of them.“
